Whitening

Teeth whitening is a treatment that consists of lightening the tone of the teeth. It is a treatment that helps to give a whiter appearance without damaging the enamel.

How do you do it? There are two types of whitening:

Home treatment: for this, guards provided by the dentist are necessary both in the upper and lower jaw, in addition to a gel that will be placed in the guards for 8 consecutive nights.

Office treatment: performed in one session that lasts approximately 45 min. A gel is placed on the tooth surfaces and whitening occurs.

During both types of treatments, gels are used to help eliminate stains, and lightening up to 8 tones in just one session (office). Although the final results can be seen up to 1 week after having done it.

Does teeth whitening wear down my teeth?

No, because it is a  chemical treatment, that does not necessarily  wear down tooth structure.

What indications should I follow after the whitening?

For 15 days, you should avoid the consumption of drinks and foods with pigments, such as soft drinks with colorants, red wine, tea, beets, spinach, turmeric, among others.
